Upgrade Open Office 2.4 to 3.0 (for Ubuntu)

To the point OK!

Uninstall Open Office 2.4 with command:
$ sudo apt-get remove openoffice.org-core

Download OpenOffice 3.0 at Web Official download OpenOffice.org

http://download.openoffice.org/other.html
or
http://kambing.ui.edu/openoffice/stable/3.0.0/
an then for Ubuntu user, choose  DEB package

Extract package
command (on terminal):
$ tar -xzvf OOo_3.0.0_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz
or just right click and extract package in directory you wish

and then go to the directory ‘OOO300_m9_native_packed-1_en-US.9358′ and install application in DEBS directory:
$ cd OOO300_m9_native_packed-1_en-US.9358/DEBS/
$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Update Gnome menu:
Go to  subdirectory ‘desktop-integration’ and then install its deb package:
$ cd desktop-integration/
$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Finish.
