INTRODUCING CLAD97 VERSION 1.0d.097 AS TOOLS FOR PHENETIC AND PHYLOGENETIC STUDY. Phenetic and phylogenetic study are important study for taxonomy and systematic. There is much software for phenetic and phylogenetic study, Clad97 is one of them. The purpose of this paper are to introduce Clad97 and to share new information about Crustacean phenetic and phylogenetic based on diagnostic characters 15 brachyuran families of interest to fisheries occurring in Western Central Pacific. Unlike another tools, Clad97 is more simple and easy for use. This software can be applied especially for phenetic and phylogenetic study. Based on this study, there are two primary groups to divide brachyuran crustacean families. Eriphiidae, Xanthidae, Portunidae, Calappidae, Goneplacidae, Pilumnidae on one group and Homolidae, Dromiidae, Raninidae, Carpilidae, Geryonidae, Majidae, Grapsidae, Gecarcinidae, Ocypodidae on another group.
